The Pier
Hilda Chancellor-Pope studied at Bromley School of Art, 1928-32, Beckenham School of Art and at the Royal College of Art, 1932-5, under Sir William Rothenstein. A painter, muralist, puppet-maker and teacher, she was a prolific and regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy and also showed at the Goupil Gallery, Artists’ International Association and elsewhere. A large group of her works are in the collection of the Graves Art Gallery, Sheffield. She lived near Woking, Surrey.
