The son of the artist Albert Ludovici, Snr, he was born in Prague and studied in Geneva and Paris. He set up a studio in Charlotte Street, London in 1875. He became associated with a group of avant-garde artists who were much influence by the work of Whistler. A regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy and Royal Society of British Painters his oils and watercolours of London epitomized the Edwardian Belle Epoque.
