The present work appears to be the door from an oak and metal relief cabinet by Bayes that was exhibited at both the Arts & Crafts Exhibition Society, London and at the Royal Society of Birmingham Artists 1901. The cabinet was illustrated in The Studio, 1901, vol.23, pl.28.
