Henry “Harry” Floyd was born in London and studied in Paris under Bougereau and Robert-Fleury. In the late 1890s he moved to the USA to work as a portrait painter and between 1898-1902 he is recorded as living in Washington, DC were he exhibited at the Society of Washington Artists and Pennyslvania Academy of Fine Arts. A work by him is in the collection of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
