The reverse bears the stamp of Kuhn & Komor, Yokohama. The Hungarian luxury goods retailers Kuhn & Komor first shop opened in Hong Kong in 1896. In 1898 they opened another shop in the Shanghai Palace Hotel, Shanghai and later a shop in Japan at 37 Water Street, Yokohama. Known as K&K, they were called the “Asprey of Asia”. They ceased trading before the outbreak of World War II.
