Henrietta Louisa Trevelyan (nee Harison) was the born in Southampton, the daughter of Frederick Harison, gentleman.  In 1859, at the age of 18, she married the dashing Harrington Astley Trevelyan of the 11th Hussars, one of the few survivors of the Charge of the Light Brigade.  Although the marriage produced two daughters it was not happy and the couple separated.  In 1890 Colonel Trevelyan settled in Fresno, California where he became the manager of the Barton Vineyard.  Louisa’s life was not so happy, she slid into poverty and deserted by her husband and children she died in the Kensington workhouse in 1923.
