Italian Landscape
Freda Marston (nee Clulow) was born in Hampstead and studied at Regent Street Polytechnic and in Italy under Terrick William and Harry Watson, 1916-20. In 1922 she was married to the artist Reginald St Clair Marston. Working as a landscape and still life artist, she exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Artists, Fine Art Society and elsewhere. An exhibition of her Italian Landscapes was held at the Fine Art Society in 1926. She was also commissioned to produce a number of railway posters. Her work is in public galleries in Eastbourne, Stoke-on-Trent and the National Railway Museum. She lived in Amberley, Sussex and later at Robertsbridge, Sussex.
