Study in Silver
Budd was born at Ford Green, Staffordshire and attended Hanley School of Art followed by the Royal College of Art under Gerald Moira. In the 1930s he worked for London Transport as a poster designer. He taught at St Martin’s School of Art, 1929-49 and at Hornsey School of Art, 1930-49. He exhibited a the Royal Academy, New English Art Club, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Glasgow Insitute and elsewhere. Works by him are in the collections of the Imperial War Museum, Bradford and Oldham. He lived in London.
