Eustace Pain Elliott Nash was born in Boscombe and trained at the Drummond Road School of Art (later Bournemouth Municipal College) under Lister Lobley. He lived and worked for most of his life in the Bournemouth and Poole area. An artist, illustrator, cartoonist and poster designer, he contributed art work for Bournemouth and Pool Guide books as well a supplying regular cartoons to the Bournemouth Graphic. He was a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy. A posthumous exhibition of his work was held at the Russell Cotes Art gallery who hold a number of his paintings in their permanent collection.
