These 1911 studies of elegant, fashionably dressed ladies appears to be related to his 1912 fresco In the Rue de Rivoli (private collection) and his major fresco, Corporation Street, Birmingham, March 1914, executed for the main staircase of the Birmingham Art Gallery in 1916.
