Capercaillie Feathers

Terence Lambert was brought up in Surrey. Always passionate about the natural world, he has been able to combine this interest with his talent for drawing. After studying at Guildford School of Art, his first commercial work was to provide illustrations for the Collins Books of British Birds. His first book, Lambert’s Birds of Garden and Woodland was published in 1976 and he has since worked on over forty publications. Examples of his work are in many major private collections and important commissions have led him to travel to the Himalayas, Africa, North America and the Middle East. He has held exhibitions in Britain and the USA. He moved to mid Wales in 1976 and the Welsh Arts Council held a major travelling retrospective exhibition of his work in 1999.
