Francis Patrick Martin

United Kingdom Born in Anstruther, Franc Martin studied at the Glasgow School of Art under David Forrester Wilson, 1919-20. A painter of genre subjects and landscapes in oil and watercolour, he exhibited at the Royal Glasgow Institute, Royal Scottish Academy and Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. For a time he worked as a telegraphist and as a result of this was commissioned to produce a number of posters for the Post Office. He was President of the Glasgow Art Club and Secretary of the Royal Glasgow Institute.
