Henry Hunt came from London and was trained as a stained glass artist by his father. In 1888 he emigrated to America and after a short time in Boston established the Hunt Stained Glass Studios in Pennsylvania, which still operates. The studios supplied murals, sculpture and stained glass across the United States. Although based in America he continued to accept commissions in England, including windows for Croydon Airport (opened in 1928). He also submitted works for exhibition at the Royal Academy between 1931 and 1941.
