Amidst his many siblings were the artists Edwin Moore, William Moore II, Henry Moore and Albert Joseph Moore. Samuel Redgrave praised his work and described them as: “very true to nature, quiet and delicate in tone, and pure in colour, having an original character of their own.” (A Century of British Painters, Phaidon 1947, p.364)
