Sold
William Thomas Wood was born in Ipswich, the son of the artist Thomas Wood. He studied at Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art and in Italy and was an official war artist in the Balkans during World War I. He is known for his atmospheric landscapes of Sussex and the Downs and exhibited widely becoming Vice President of the Royal Watercolour Society. Works by him are in many public collections including the Imperial War Museum.
