Estella Louisa M Canziani
1887 - 1964
EnglandShe studied at the Copernicus, at Kensington School, run by Sir Arthur Cope and Erskine Nicholl, and at the Royal Academy schools. Canziani was painting portraits, landscapes she also was an illustrator and interiors decorator. She frequently travelled around Europe bringing a new approach to her paintings. She was the author of Costume, Traditions and Songs of Savoy, and several other works about Italian folklore. She exhibited all over Europe, at the RA London, Liverpool, Milan, Venice and France. Canziani was a member of the Royal Society of British Artists, Arts and Crafts Society, Society of Manual Decorators and Painters in Tempera, Society of Protection of Birds, Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Folk Lore Society.
