Margot has had a love of art from her earliest days, studying it in her school A level examination. After leaving school furthered her studies at the Bath Academy of Art, then based at Corsham Court. She then made a change of career, studying midwifery at Guy’s Hospital. A domestic life of marriage and three children took over but there was always a sketch book in her bag on days out or holidays. As the children became less dependent, she started several art courses in which print making, in all its forms, particularly inspired her. This included etching, woodcuts, collagraphs and relief prints. She is a member of the Birmingham Society of Artists and exhibits regularly with the Oxfordshire Printmakers Cooperative and the Oxfordshire Arts Weeks. She has also held solo exhibitions in France and Germany. Margot frequently works on a series of prints, often based on a particular theme, object or sketching holiday.
