Robert Duckworth Greenham was born in Streatham, the elder brother of fellow artist Peter Greenham, RA. He trained at the Byam Shaw School of Art and the Royal Academy Schools where he was awarded a Landseer Scholarship, Creswick Prize and Silver Medal for painting. Best known for his portraits and landscapes of the Suffolk coast, Greenham delighted in capturing outdoor scenes of English social life.rnrnHe exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy, New English Art Club, London Group, Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. Works by him are in many public collections.
