Caroline Chappell
Caroline studied Art and Education at Homerton College, Cambridge in the 1970s and until recently had blended the teaching a tutoring of art with the development of her own work. Her paintings express sensations, memories and responses to the world around her. Bridle paths and drovers' roads, ancient burial sites and stone circles, tracks and holloways all whisper their story. She works from a studio high up on the edge of the Cotswolds, surrounded by spectacular sky and earth and takes inspiration from her surroundings.
Winner Banbury Museum 2011 Newcomers Award
